I am not sure why you are doubting that I run Ubuntu MATE but ok:

1. I have been running Ubuntu MATE since a few years now (Since 2015);
2. This system that is exhibiting this error has been updated from 20.04 UP to
20.10 and then again UP to 21.04;
3. I have been having this focus issue on this machine since several full
months (Before updating);
4. I have never touched this setting before (And I also do not know where to
change it;

Therefore I have no idea what you mean by "Use different configuration
scheme".

How do I do that? Which command?
Where is that setting located at? MATE Tweaks?
Since when do I need to do that?

I have tested this feature on another machine (Laptop hooked up on a
smart tv via hdmi) but I have never been able to reproduce (Yet
Terminator is the default terminal and I never have that many windows
opened on that other machine).

So my end-user conclusion is that there is something wrong only on this
system (With dual portrait screens and resolution <3)

Cheers!
