Well as it's chaining inequality comparisons (to catch wrong types), it will work; if you follow the link to the full source code of this file, this is how the other elements are tested. I'm not sure this is the most optimal way to test it (maybe it is, I don't know of the preprocessor will optimize it, and my knowledge of this kind of stuff is very far), but I chose to keep the code rules already present in the file :) (And yes, it woulf be really great if an active developer could see this and validate it for the next release...)
