I re-ran the install into the other partition and HAD NO ISSUES at all. Both installs booted & were as expected.
It's highly probable that the KERNEL PANIC was a pre-existing condition on the box.. (I need to know how to get a dump of all my reports from iso.qa.ubuntu.com so I can search for my prior install to the box.. I have ~25 boxes I use... there is a UF post asking for help on that, but if anyone reading knows how - I'd appreciate help in making use of the iso.qa.ubu.com API!) I thus think this report is of NO VALUE and am tempted to flip to 'invalid'... but for now anyway I'll leave it as incomplete. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1933789 Title: kubuntu impish daily qa-test install (manual sda1) - other system kernel panics To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1933789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
