@mwhudson @dbungert Looks like the line in subiquity-serial.conf did the trick! With this in place and as part of the Impish daily ISO (I used the image from today, July 2nd) I can now see the temp./random password again - and even more nicely at the end of the installer boot-up process - great !
I've attached the last lines from an LPAR as well as from a z/VM installation console log. I'm now happily closing this ticket as Fix Released - thx! ** Attachment added: "subiquity impish daily July 02 2021.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/1933523/+attachment/5508636/+files/subiquity%20impish%20daily%20July%2002%202021.txt ** Changed in: ubuntu-z-systems Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1933523 Title: Temporary installer password and key fingerprints are not printed with latest impish daily ISOs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/1933523/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
