There was a bug in 1.4.13 where Catfish would freeze if encountering a pipe file. It would appear to keep searching but never return results beyond that file and had to be forced closed.
Would you be able to run this in a terminal: find ~ -type p And see if anything comes up? Then if so try searching with Catfish in the directory that the pipe file is in and see if the unresponsiveness seems the same. You can also try using a newer version of Catfish and see if you still have problems: https://archive.xfce.org/src/apps/catfish/4.15/ https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/catfish -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1932240 Title: Catfish File Search has been becoming unresponsive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/catfish/+bug/1932240/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
