Public bug reported:

########

OS version: Ubuntu 14.04.6 LTS, Trusty Tahr
OS flavor: Ubuntu Studio

########
Package versions exhibiting error:

1.0.5~ubuntu14.04.1
1.0.6~ubuntu14.04.1

########
Scenario:

Error first occurred when I tried to install solaar package a few weeks ago, to
drive my new Logitech wireless keyboard+mouse, I gave up after 2 or 3 tries and
purged the package from the system.
Yesterday, I decided to give it another try with the new package version, but
the error is still the same.
