I'm sorry - I don't really feel confident to try the mainline kernel. I've looked at the instructions, which say to remove nvidia, virtualbox etc etc which i use - and the instructions don't actually map correctly to the layout of the kernel download files. For example, the instructions mention that the hashes of the downloads are all in a CHECKSUMS file, but actually, only the hash of a file called "crack.bundle" is in there. If this is a legitimate file, it is pretty terribly named - it looks like the kernels have been compromised, and i've no idea how to use this bundle file to verify the hashes of the downloaded kernels. I'm really sorry. Is there something else i can do to help diagnose the problem?
