Public bug reported:
I can print over wifi to the HP Deskjet 2621
1. However, Unable to print to usb connected HP Deskjet 2621
As soon as an attempt is made to reference the printer on the usb port or print
over usb, the usb port is crashed/locked
The problem seems to be with usblp, ippusbxd and apparmor
If usblp is blacklisted, removed and apt remove ippusbxd is performed,
the printer on the usb port can be referenced or printed to
successfully.
However, ippusbxd is required:
a. to enable modification of network settings (Advanced Network Configuration)
b. when a ghost printer is selected, causes message 'Getting printer
information....' in application print dialog window (more accurately - fails to
communicate with usb connected printer in print dialog window)
