Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
While the symptom is similar to the one observed in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1899248, I see an additional error in your logs: MySQLConf.etc.mysql.my.cnf: Error: [Errno 40] Demasiados niveles de enlaces simblicos: '/etc/mysql/my.cnf' It seems the service needs a restart, but it cannot perform one due to a circular symlink for your configuration file at /etc/mysql/my.cnf. Could you confirm that this configuration file is an actual circular symbolic link? Would you mind providing more information on your configuration setup? Namely, it would be interesting to understand how that file turned out to become a circular symlink. Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete. If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: mysql-8.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1938222 Title: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.26-0ubuntu0.20.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso instalado paquete mysql-server-8.0 script post-installation devolvió el código de salida de error 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1938222/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
