I can report about a workaround: The current Lubuntu Impish file, impish-desktop-amd64.iso, dated 2021-07-28 17:22 worked for me this way:
- Create a persistent live drive with mkusb-dus. - Verify that it can boot both in UEFI and legacy BIOS mode. - Install Lubuntu in UEFI mode (there was no problem for cloned systems to boot in BIOS mode). But it did not work, when there was a system in the target drive. After wiping the first mibibyte, it was straightforward to install Lubuntu, and I have a working system now :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1937115 Title: Unable to boot/install Impish daily in UEFI boot mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cd-boot-images-amd64/+bug/1937115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
