Oh that is sad information indeed, but thank you! Unfortunately none of the other versions can be found in the Ubuntu repositories, which means no updates through the regular channel and no distribution specific patches.
And having to submit your personal extensions for review is just not OK! As a workaround I have started using a script to modify the omni.ja to set the MOZ_REQUIRE_SIGNING to false. It's a pain but I pray they do not "fix" that too. It would be even a bigger pain to have to build Firefox from scratch each time! I wonder if there is enough like minded persons within Ubuntu users, so that the MOZ_REQUIRE_SIGNING flag could be ACTUALLY set to false on Ubuntu builds.
