The 18 Dec daily build (2.6.22-14.46-generic) tested good. I'm concerned that my /etc/network/interfaces file may be the problem. My initial (Feisty) bug report and the related backport fix were with respect to an unmodified network/interfaces file. My modified file, used with Gutsy (2.6.22-14-generic) leaves eth1 babbling after shutdown while +5V-standby is present -- even with explicit up/downs added to the eth1 stanza:
auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet manual auto eth1 iface eth1 inet manual auto tap0 iface tap0 inet manual up ifconfig $IFACE 0.0.0.0 up down ifconfig $IFACE down tunctl_user wac4 auto br0 iface br0 inet static address 172.27.16.92 network 172.27.16.80 netmask 255.255.255.240 broadcast 172.27.16.95 gateway 172.27.16.81 bridge_ports eth1 tap0 bridge_maxwait 0 bridge_stp off auto eth2 #iface eth2 inet dhcp auto ath0 #iface ath0 inet dhcp auto wlan0 #iface wlan0 inet dhcp -- sky2 GbE active after shutdown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
