Here is a patch applying the upstream fix for this issue. A PPA with the proposed change is available at https://launchpad.net/~athos-ribeiro/+archive/ubuntu/lp-1939916-sane- airscan/+packages
Note that the bug does not affect Debian yet (Ubuntu version differs from Debian version; and Debian does not ship GCC 11). Moreover, this may possibly not affect Debian at all, depending on when a new Debian package version is released (considering the fix is present in upstream's development version). ** Patch added: "1-0.99.25-0ubuntu2.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-airscan/+bug/1939916/+attachment/5517804/+files/1-0.99.25-0ubuntu2.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1939916 Title: FTBFS 0.99.25-0ubuntu1 error: ‘__builtin_memcpy’ writing 5 bytes into a region of size 0 overflows the destination [-Werror=stringop- overflow=] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-airscan/+bug/1939916/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
