Public bug reported:

I just upgraded my T61p to 4G RAM, and the kernel only sees 3.x G. I
found on this page
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=591615&page=4 an idea such as
"The easiest way to do this in Ubuntu is to install the version of your
running kernel that is labelled BIGSMP." In gutsy, the closest that I
could find to this suggestion was linux-image-server . I installed
that, and then I could see 4G just fine. However, when X started up,
the NVidia logo didn't show, and I got a message about how the reduced
display resolution was on its' way.

Thanks,
Rob
