In Ubuntu 21.04, I am experiencing a regression of this bug:

If I tap on the App Grid icon in the Dock, the app grid does not open.
gnome-shell --version
GNOME Shell 3.38.4
Other launchers in the dock work as expected.
This only occurs while using XOrg. The issue is not present when using
Wayland.
