Public bug reported: This is for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Not everyone likes the pink/purple colors of Ubuntu. We'd prefer to change it to grey/blue shades. But those options do not appear to be available now, as mentioned here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1227070/how-do-i-change-login-screen- theme-or-background-in-ubuntu-20-04
Apart from login screen, there are a lot of other settings which need to be provided via the default GUI settings in Ubuntu, instead of expecting us to open up the /etc/default/grub file or installing gnome-tweaks. Some of these are: 1. The Ubuntu login screen color. 2. Grub timeout countdown and grub menu options order. 3. Ubuntu splash screen switched off during startup and shutdown. 4. Ubuntu firewall (ufw) being pre-installed and active. 5. GUI close button, maximise and minimize buttons being on the left side instead of right. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942245 Title: Option to change login screen color missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1942245/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
