Public bug reported:

I upgraded to hardy this week, the 2.6.22 kernel suspended to ram
perfectly (as it had been doing for the entire gutsy timeframe).
Yesterday the 2.6.24 kernel came in, and suspend to ram causes the
kernel to panic. The screen goes blank, and then caps lock and scroll
lock lights start to flash, indicating a kernel panic. I can only use
Alt-SysRq to reboot the machine.

Note: with this kernel I used the rt2x00 driver, with 2.6.22 the legacy
rt2500 driver

** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
