Public bug reported: Whatever the Macbook Pro is running on AC power or on battery, gutsy always sets the screen backlight to a very low level after some inactivity time (watching a video for instance). Manually setting the backlight value to a correct one just fixes the issue until it is decreased again by the system.
Seems to occur on Macbook Pro 1G and 2G: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3985139#post3985139 In my case, I'm running Gutsy Ubuntu + ATI fglrx 8.43 (november 2007). The problems occurs with and without compiz fusion effects. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Screen backlight is wrong controlled on Macbook Pro (1G and 2G) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/177654 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
