I made a post on a support site here: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2466821. Even though this is clearly a bug in the 5.8+ kernels, updating to 5.11 and 20.04.3 still has this bug. The "solution" was to downgrade the kernel to 5.4, which is not a long-term solution. Hopefully, this bug will be resolved in future updates to the kernel.
