Hi Chris Chiu, I too am having similar issues. I completed the steps you identified in post #26. I received errors like Philippe did in post #27.
Specifically: Package linux-headers-5.14.0-051400rc7 is not installed. linux-headers-5.14.0-051400rc7-generic depends on libc6 (>= 2.33); however: Version of libc6:amd64 on system is 2.31-0ubuntu9.2. I rebooted, but (as noted above) kernel 5.14 was not present in the boot grub options. I then installed your test kernel in post #26. When I booted to that (not safe graphics), it froze at login, like all kernels. Then I rebooted to your test kernel in safe graphics. The results of "journalctl -k -b -1 > journal.log" are nothing. Its empty.
