Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: apt
Upon trying to update off of a mirror, the update fails and returns this
error:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.22-14-generic_2.6.22-14.47_i386.deb:
subprocess
dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returned error exit status 2
The only way to fix this was manually running sudo apt-get clean (or
removing the downloaded package by hand). A checksum or retry of the
download should be attempted, neither of which is currently able to be
done from the update-manager, which is where the error appeared.
** Affects: apt (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
