Sounds like the maintainers have Mozilla'd everything up for some of you here. You may want to use the Apache2 PPA repo of the Debian/Ubuntu PHP maintainer Ondřej Surý instead of this hot mess, like I have for the past few years, since I find that I need it for PHP anyway.
