- This is a transitional package to ease upgrades to the
- golang-github-containerd-containerd-dev package. It can safely be removed.
We would preferably not be dropping binary packages as part of an SRU.
In this case I'll allow it because:
- the package has no reverse-(build-)dependencies in bionic.
- it is already a transitional package in bionic-updates.
- the SRU does not make either the release version of the
golang-github-docker-containerd-dev or the updates version uninstallable (the
former because it has no dependencies, the latter because it has an unversioned
dependency which will be satisfied by the
golang-github-containerd-containerd-dev from this version); therefore, the SRU
will not fail to apply automatically as a result of packages becoming newly
uninstallable.
