I don't know if this helps anyone, but I have the same issue with Lenovo ThinkPad T15 AMD Gen 2(AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics). This laptop is mine, and brand new, with no OS installed. - I created a bootable flash drive with Kubuntu 2021.10, and tried to boot the new laptop - It never moved from the Lenovo splashscreen after selecting Kubuntu. - Tried a different port, didn't work either. - I try my company Lenovo ThinkPad T580, which is an Intel setup, and it booted, I was able to enter and "Try Kubuntu" from the pendrive.
- So, changed the image of the flash drive for Kubuntu 2021.04, was able to boot in the T15 and install Kubuntu. - Once in Kubuntu, after updating due updates, I upgrade the OS to 2021.10: same error that when trying to but 2021.10: kernel panic, never leaves the Lenovo splash screen. So it might be something related to the trackpad, but in the AMD setup (Ryzen 5 4500 and Radeon Graphics), it's not happening in the Intel Setup (i5 with intel graphics). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1945590 Title: Thinkpad E14 Gen2: Kernel panic with trackpad and trackpoint enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1945590/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
