Public bug reported: I have just bought a Tp-link bluetooth 5.0 usb adapter (UB500). According to this website https://usb-ids.gowdy.us/read/UD/2357/0604 the chip is Realtek RTL8761B. It works just fine on Windows 10, but I'm having problems on Ubuntu.
I'm running Ubuntu 21.10 with the 5.14.14-051414-generic kernel The adapter seems to be correctly installed and properly working, however scanning does not pick up any bluetooth device. I've tried two headsets (that I know are properly working) and my phone, with no success. When performing a scan on my phone, the computer doesn't show up, even if I've set it to visible. (I'm sorry if the information is not complete, but ubuntu-bug is not working for me) ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "lspci-vnvn.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1948502/+attachment/5535315/+files/lspci-vnvn.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1948502 Title: TP-Link UB500 Bluetooth USB adapter not working properly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1948502/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
