Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. This excerpt from one of your log files caught my attention:
Failed to stop mysql.service: Unit mysql.service not loaded. invoke-rc.d: initscript mysql, action "stop" failed. I wonder why the mysql.service is not loaded, and why this is causing the upgrade process to fail. Could you provide more information about this, please? I'd like to know if you've modified your mysql.service file, and if it's enabled. Also, could you provide your mysql.error.log file, please? Maybe there's something valuable there. Since there is not enough information in your report to begin triage or to differentiate between a local configuration problem and a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as "Incomplete". We would be grateful if you would: provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to "New". For local configuration issues, you can find assistance here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community ** Changed in: mysql-8.0 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1928297 Title: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.23-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subproces van het nieuwe pakket mysql-server-8.0 het script pre-removal gaf de foutwaarde 1 terug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1928297/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
