Public bug reported:
Opening a python script that had the executable mark set, in Nemo file
manager, has frozen the whole system (no I/O response, force shutdown
was required). Unfortunately, it is not reproducible for me. Previously
a gnome extension caused the same freeze when I was moving its position
on the dash, but I could not reproduce it either. Another, but
reproducible bug was Globonotes program running on java rte, where
right-clicking the icon in the left panel froze the system the same way.
