You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have a MSI laptop "GS66 Stealth 11UH-094PL" which features "15.6 QHD (2560x1440), 240Hz DCI-P3 100% typical, IPS-Level" display.
Link to tech specs: https://pl.msi.com/Laptop/GS66-Stealth-11UX/Specification When I boot into Ubuntu (regular), it takes a VERY long time to boot, but it finally boots. Linux detects 2K resolution and detects 240Hz refresh rate, but when I select 240Hz refresh rate - it's still working in 60Hz but showing 240Hz as selected/enabled refresh rate. Related (or even the same) bug: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/intel/-/issues/125 Please let me know what information is needed. For this reason I am on Windows, but I can live boot Ubuntu to collect required logs/dumps/data. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: display i915 laptop -- 'MSI GS66 11UH' 2K display locked at 60Hz while it supports 240Hz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1949441 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
