This seems to be NVIDIA related (I'm using nvidia-driver-470). Downgrading the libnvidia-egl-wayland1 package to the version used in impish fixes the issue; hence it's a 1.1.9 regression.
Setting GDK_BACKEND=x11, as mentioned in the upstream issue, works around the problem. ** Bug watch added: github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland/issues #27 https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland/issues/27 ** Also affects: egl-wayland via https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland/issues/27 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Also affects: egl-wayland (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: yelp (Ubuntu) Importance: High => Undecided ** Changed in: yelp (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Tags added: regression-release ** Summary changed: - yelp crashes in wayland session + yelp crashes in wayland session with NVIDIA 470 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1949924 Title: yelp crashes in wayland session with NVIDIA 470 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/egl-wayland/+bug/1949924/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
