Public bug reported:

[Availability]

The package is already available in Jammy, in universe for now. It
currently builds in all supported architectures:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ruby3.0

[Rationale]

We will be transitioning from ruby2.7 to ruby3.0 in Jammy and this will
be the default ruby version.

[Security]

TBD

[Quality assurance - function/usage]

The package works well right after installation.

[Quality assurance - maintenance]

I am also one of the maintainers in Debian and I can assure it is well
maintained. I've been forwarding all the delta we used to have to
Debian.

[Quality assurance - testing]

The upstream suite test is ran during build time, and we also have a set
of DEP-8 tests in place which run upstream suite tests as well, and some
other sanity checks.

[Quality assurance - packaging]

- debian/watch is present and works
- lintian report: https://lintian.debian.org/sources/ruby3.0
+ libruby3.0 contains some lintian overrides:
https://salsa.debian.org/ruby-team/ruby/-/blob/master/debian/libruby3.0.lintian-overrides
- This package does not rely on obsolete or about to be demoted packages.
- No debconf questions
- d/rules is not too complex:
https://salsa.debian.org/ruby-team/ruby/-/blob/master/debian/rules

[UI standards]

N/A

[Dependencies]

- No further depends or recommends dependencies that are not yet in main

[Standards compliance]

- This package correctly follows FHS and Debian Policy

[Maintenance/Owner]

The Server team will be maintaining and owning this package. We'll be
subscribed soon.
