No. I tried that before the OP, and I just repeated the process. I created a new account (useradd -m test), logged in, started evolution, declined to restore evo from backup, created a new IMAP account in evo, found a mail with a wav attachment, and... same thing. The attachment options looked exactly like that in my 11-24 screenshot.
