I've just tried to install the hardy alpha-2 and the problem is still here. The
kernel-attachment.py script resulted in an error message:

Maybe the cause is that Firefox couldn't run correctly - the NIC (8139) is not
seen by the system, I've submitted another bug report for that.
So I attach the logs manually.
