It is still the same here with a fresh install of Kubuntu 7.10 gutsy
(includes KDE 3.5.8 now).

BTW - Gentoo with KDE 3.5.7 is ok and even with 3.5.5 or 3.5.6 there were no
problems.

Steps to reproduce:
 Did a fresh, clean install of Kubuntu 7.10.
 Added ksysguard-applet to kicker with signal-plotter for
  localhost:network/interfaces/eth0/receiver/data and
  localhost:network/interfaces/eth0/transmitter/data.
 Hiberated and thawed. -> Signal-plotter for eth0 lost connection.
 Did a killall ksysguardd. -> Signal-Plotter for eth0 reconnected.
 Installed all updates provided by the distribution and rebooted (new kernel).
 Tried again with same result.
