I found while working with a Hardy install in Qemu 0.8.0-3ubuntu1 that
the new Linux kernel 2.6.24-2.4 hangs on boot. The last two printks are
``Starting up ...'' and ``[0.000000] ACPI: no DMI BIOS year, acpi=force
is required to enable ACPI.''
The interesting thing is that Hardy's early 2.6.22-14.46 kernel still
boots fine.
