This is the upstream commit that we need to cherry-pick to fix this issue: https://github.com/php/php- src/commit/6dd85f83f78fbafc4a90b264e577a31b59323314 And it seems to be fixed only in version 7.4.17 onward, in despite of the upstream bug saying that it was fixed in 7.4.15.
