I see this bug on MSI GS 66 and Ubuntu 21.10 too. The underlying issue is https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214035 - removing the acpi_turn_off_unused_power_resources() call in kernel shipped with 21.10 and recompiling allowed ubuntu to see the second SSD drive.
Very annoying bug - with new hardware you need 21.10 so all the new peripherals work, howerver the SSD cannot be accessed by any means. Hopefuly will be solved soon, glad to support if you need more info. ** Bug watch added: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #214035 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214035 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950087 Title: ubuntu 21.10 live usb does not recognize Razer Blade 15 (2021) nvme drive (possible kernel bug) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1950087/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
