Public bug reported:

Ok guys i am sorry if this is a repost, but I am utterly confused. When I
originally installed Ubuntu i meant to dual boot with windows, but I guess i
did it wrong, and there is only Ubuntu on my computer. So I've decided to stick
with it. My problem is this:
I have no sound
My Sound card : nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio

I am extremely confused on how to extract files and run them(For instance I
tried using a file from ALSA and I extracted it to my desktop, but I can never
get it to run).
So if you give me a link to a DL, could you by chance explain on how to extract
it and run it, and everything to do.
I know I am a total n00b, but please help me out
Thanks
minigwar
