When I start a sawfish session I still get a complaint from sawfish: "error, click to continue". I tracked this down to a file that is distributed with sawfish not being included in the ubuntu package. Once I tracked it down, I of course installed it, but on both my workstations an upgrade has negated that effort and now it complains again every time I log in. No I'm no longer on 16.04. (but not yet on 21.x).
I /am/ using my own session script, but the one with Ubuntu either is the same with regards to this or it is worse (closes sawfish and therefore the session). When patching such things, I usually stop at "works for me" and in this case I have some customization for myself that I like and put in. But if you promise it won't be for nothing, then I'd be happy to provide a "for general use" patch, as long as that means it'll work "reasonably" for me "out of the box" on future Ubuntu releases. If you ignore my efforts and I will still have to fix it in the future I certainly won't waste my time making something "for general use". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1571296 Title: Sawfish crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sawfish/+bug/1571296/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
