Hello Paul I have a little bit of extra information to share with you that might point you guys in the right direction.
I am part of a Facebook group of 70,000 people that are all using Ubuntu. I found at least two people that had this issue with 21.10 and just downgraded their kernel and then after that they could go and stand by and wake it up. With 22.04 I am stuck in a rut because when my screen goes blank on if I walk away from my computer it does not wake up. Also the standby feature doesn't work it doesn't wake up. So I'm afraid of burning my screen so I do the proper shutdown I just realized that I need to report a bug about the shutdown feature too it does not work through the graphical interface but I can go to terminal and do a shutdown there and it works fine.
