Hello Dan I have given this a lot of thought.
When I attempt to shut down in 22.04. the prompts that I see on the screen are not the regular shutdown prompts that I saw in 20.04. I remember when I did the shutdown in 20.04. the last prompt for the shutdown procedure was telling all devices to power off. I have not seen that with this 22.04 in the shutdown prompts, maybe that's the reason why the power light stays on afterwards. That or it's something to simply do with the bios. Anyways that's just my thoughts.
