I put an SD card in my card reader but nothing happened. The card reader
shows up with lsusb, and there exist devices called /dev/sdd and
/dev/sde which belong to the plugdev group. However there is no
/dev/sdd1 etc. Nor is there a subdirectory of /media corresponding to
the card. I'm not sure which kernel module is required for it to work,
but if it is usb-storage, then that one is definitely loaded according
to lsmod.
Gutsy was installed cleanly onto this computer a few weeks ago (i.e. not
an upgrade).
