Public bug reported:
The recent upgrade to the 2.6.24-2-generic kernel (2.6.24-2.4) has
caused Xorg to show abnormally high CPU usage compared to in the
2.6.22-14-generic kernel. I'm running both Compiz Fusion and noticed
that my animations have begun to lag in the new kernel. I will attach my
xorg.conf shortly. The video driver I'm using is nvidia-glx, my graphic
card nVidia Geforce 4 MX 440 with AGP 8x, and my screen resolution is
1280x1024 at 75.0 Hz.
