The problem can't be mutter issue 199 because the fix (mutter!431) was
already released in mutter 3.32. And you have mutter 3.36 already in
Ubuntu 20.04. So you already have that fix and I've just confirmed it by
looking at the source code too.

** Description changed:

Recently Qt changed the default platform plugin from XWayland to Wayland
  (in Qt 6.2.2).

When I've updated Telegram Desktop appplication to use Qt 6.2.2 there
were a lot of reports that the app became unusable on Ubuntu 20.04
  Wayland, like this one:

  https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/17468

I had to revert to XWayland by default in Telegram, but it would be nice
- to fix the bug and allow to switch back to Wayland. This is the bug
- report in Mutter:
-
- https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/199
-
- It was fixed, I believe this was the fix:
-
- https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/431
-
- I think this fix (and all related, if there are more) should be
- backported to Ubuntu 20.04. Thanks.
+ to fix the bug and allow to switch back to Wayland.

** Package changed: mutter (Ubuntu) => telegram-desktop
