Public bug reported:
[Impact]
bbswitch is a kernel module that is supposed to detect certain ACPI
calls and toggle power on NVIDIA optimus video cards.
There is no reason to provide this feature on architectures that don't
have an ACPI bus. This will also prevent potential build failures in the
future.
[Test case]
On armhf or ppc64el:
apt install bbswitch-dkms
...
ERROR: modpost: "acpi_root_dir" [/var/lib/dkms/bbswitch/0.8/build/bbswitch.ko]
undefined!
[Fix]
Simply drop support for armhf and ppc64el.
[Regression potential]
This module won't be available if there's any "special" armhf or ppc64el
system with an NVIDIA optimus card (I doubt a system like this will ever
exist).
