So upon running

gsettings set org.gnome.shell enabled-extensions "['ubuntu-
[email protected]', '[email protected]']"

the previous

org.gnome.shell enabled-extensions ['[email protected]',
'[email protected]', '[email protected]',
'[email protected]', '[email protected]',
'[email protected]', 'audio-output-switcher@anduchs',
'[email protected]', '[email protected]']
org.gnome.shell disabled-extensions ['[email protected]',
'[email protected]']

becomes:

org.gnome.shell enabled-extensions ['[email protected]',
'[email protected]']
org.gnome.shell disabled-extensions ['[email protected]',
'[email protected]']

So it seems that deleting extensions via the extensions app/firefox
extension settings interfaces does not work, even if they become
invisible. Note, I removed gsconnect in ubuntu 20.x i.e. at least a year
ago, one or two upgrades ago.

Similarly, these disabled extensions:
[email protected]' and '[email protected] still
seem to be installed. These should have been removed from my system
months ago. Is there a similar command that would remove those entries
also? Maybe:

gsettings set org.gnome.shell disabled-extensions "[]"

Nevertheless, the gnome-shell memory use continues to increase after
reboot:

12:47 249 MB
14:47 430 MB
14:58 505 MB
15:04 548 MB
15:38 784 MB
15:45 843 MB
15:46 853 MB
15:48 867 MB
15:53 900 MB
