I just experienced this issue after rearranging PCIe adapters in my 0M5DCD
board based box (Optiplex 390DT guts turned into Frankenputer.) I moved the
wifi6 adapter up to the x16 slot, where a renesas USB 3.0 card was working
fine.
The EDUP branded Intel AX200 chipset based AX3000 Wifi 6 PCIe adapter did not
show up after logging in. I copied dmesg to find a list of iwlwifi errors. I
was able to reproduce this reliably. It occurred with multiple kernels of
version 5.10.24. After moving the iwlwifi driven hardware back to a PCIe x1
slot, expected functionality resumed.
