Public bug reported: [Background]
Intel MIPI camera userspace stack https://github.com/intel/ipu6-camera-hal - HAL for processing of images in userspace https://github.com/intel/ipu6-camera-bins - IPU firmware and proprietary image processing libraries https://github.com/intel/icamerasrc (branch:icamerasrc_slim_api) - Gstreamer src plugin [Impact] Without these packages, we can not enable the Intel MIPI camera. [Testing] Install these packages (ipu6 set or ipu6ep set) and exeute `sudo -E gst-launch-1.0 icamerasrc ! video/x-raw,format=YUY2,width=1280,height=720 ! videoconvert ! xvimagesink` on the corresponding PCs. [Regression Potential] None [Availability] You can find all packages on https://launchpad.net/~oem-solutions- group/+archive/ubuntu/intel-ipu6. [Rationale] We want to improve the hardware support for some Dell/HP/Lenovo laptops. [Security] No CVE/known security issue. [Quality assurance] We have used these packages to enable Intel MIPI camera on some Dell laptops and some of them will be cerified by Ubuntu certification soon. [Dependencies] It depends on the BIOS, hardware and Linux kernel that contains ipu6 drivers.
