I can confirm this exact same problem with Ubuntu 21.10 live DVD in a
Dell Inspiron N4110, a Dell Latitude E5430 with 16gb of ram, and an Acer
Predator AG3610 with 6GB of RAM.I tried redownloading the media and
burning to a different DVD brand on a different burner and got the same
result.

The cli read the following failures:

Failes unmounting /cdrom
Failed to start Snap Daemon
Failed to start Ubuntu live CD installer

The desktop eventually loaded but barely functioned. No snap apps were
available.

To date, I have not gotten a 21.10 live DVD to work with any system
correctly.
