Public bug reported: Hi, please remove uvp-monitor from jammy, it seems without maintenance in Ubuntu nor by Upstream (never was in Debian).
It came in for this case https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1714968 But since then is pretty much static https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/uvp-monitor/+publishinghistory https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/uvp-monitor Coming Xen versions seem to have issues with it (I have not went into detail yet, could be trivial could be complex), but it made me realize this really is dormant. It isn't just out of maintenance in Ubuntu, Upstream also has no activity for a long time https://github.com/UVP-Tools/UVP-Tools/tags Since 22.04 is an LTS I'd suggest to remove it now, to not carry it another decade. We are early enough, for the unlikely case it is needed it can be brought in even before FF. P.S. we checked with CPC if there are any use-cases left and got <philroche> I found no references to '%uvp%' in any currently built images So the assumption would be that whatever the old case needed it for, not more exists. At least not in Jammy. ** Affects: uvp-monitor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Łukasz Zemczak (sil2100) Status: New ** Summary changed: - [RM] uvp-monitor from jammy (unmaintained) + [RM] please remove uvp-monitor from jammy (unmaintained) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958844 Title: [RM] please remove uvp-monitor from jammy (unmaintained) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/uvp-monitor/+bug/1958844/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
