Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

I use Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon on my ThinkPad in Korean Language
environment. All menus and home subdirectories are Korean thanks to
quality translations.

I installed mplayer via Synaptic. Mplayer fails to play video which
located in directory with Korean Character. It does play a movie very
well when the directory name is only English Character. I think this is
somewhat annoying becauser I should place my movies on unwanted places
to see movies.

I hope developers find the cause of this bug.

** Affects: mplayer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
